Sally The Salvage
The story of how a boat was rescued from being dashed to bits on the rock on Earnse bay in the summer of 2007. Shortly after this video was taken the 50' length of brand new rope I'd tied it up with was gone and the following day the boat went missing too only to be spotted some time later in the public car park at North Scale. Who ever had taken the boat didn't even have the decency to do anything with it and later in the year it went missing once again - this time removed by the county council along with several knackered boat trailers which had also been abandoned there. There is probably a moral to this story but I'll be buggered if I know what it is. :-)

Fixing Poppy
Winter renovation of a 14' plywood boat, set to "6 months in a leaky boat" by Split Enz. Work on the boat included scarfing new hull panels, removing the old thwarts and creating new side benches/lockers, fitting a samson post, fibre-glassing various joints to add structural strength, and of course endless painting. The whole project took a little over five weeks, with most of the work being carried out under cover.
